My name is Josh Milan. I founded Honeycomb Music, LLC in 2010 with my partner, Adam Cruz. I started Honeycomb after more than twenty years in the Dance Music industry, including as a founding member of the legendary House music group Blaze.
As an independent record label, Honeycomb’s mission has always been to release timeless, high-quality music organically produced with live instruments, heartfelt lyrics, soulful melodies, and pulsating rhythms, highlighted by authentic vocal performances. As Adam shares, “Josh and I launched Honeycomb Music with the intention of releasing amazing music that the people can stick to, relate to, and feel joy from...music that heals.”
Adam and I have been passionately dedicated to the music through all of the label’s 61 releases — singles, EPs, albums, and compilations. We have offered both digital and vinyl releases for our fans. Through our partnership, we honor both creative artistic expression and music business integrity to develop what’s affectionately known as the Honeycomb sound. At the core of Honeycomb Music are its songs, written and produced by yours truly, which have been interpreted by more than 40 recording artists over the past 16 years. Every Honeycomb release captures what it means to live in today’s world. Our songs resonate with themes of positivity, spirituality, self-affirmation, being in love, navigating heartbreak and healing, recognizing injustice, celebrating freedom, and fostering unity and family. We release music that our fans can enjoy at home, in the car, or at the club. Honeycomb Music is an eclectic mosaic of Soulful House, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Funk, World, Fusion, Electronic, and even Soft Rock. We believe that no single genre or category can define Honeycomb Music. Most importantly, our music can be felt with the heart, mind, body, and spirit.

Since Honeycomb’s first release in 2011, we have consistently produced hits that quickly reached the #1 spot on Bandcamp’s All R&B/SoulChart and Gospel Chart. The key to Honeycomb’s success lies in our roster of powerful vocalists, musicians, and spoken-word artists—such as Dawn Tallman, Diviniti, Lamone, Ritmo Y Tumbao, Cinnamon Brown, Dannis Winston, Tracy Brathwaite, Sheree Hicks, Sandra St. Victor, ChinahBlac, Kia Stewart, Temika Moore, Joseff McKenneth, Raw Honey Poets, and others on the rise. Honeycomb Music also partners with GRAMMY Award-winning producer DJ Kemit. Since 2012, our official web store reports over 16,000 downloads of our releases and more than 400,000 plays.

Honeycomb Music also hosts special events and parties to celebrate new releases, new artists, label anniversaries, and even my birthday on June 9th. We have gathered at various venues in New York City, on the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan, and have even taken the party to the Bahamas and Greece. Our events always feature live performances from Honeycomb artists, world-renowned guest DJs, industry networking, Honeycomb merchandise, and most importantly, an opportunity for family, friends, and fans from all over the world to come together and celebrate.
Honeycomb Music is more than just a label that releases chart-topping soulful music — it’s a labor of love that Adam and I believe in. It is a collective of creatives who bring their unique talents, authenticity, heart, and soul to every project. None of these achievements is possible without encouragement from our very own Honeycomb Nation — supporters worldwide who have championed the label since day one.
